Our Story

Little EATON School - Home Of The Eatonians

Why We Call Ourselves “The Home of the Eatonians”

Every school has a name - but not every school has a heartbeat. At Little Eaton School, that heartbeat is what we call the Eatonian Spirit. It is the thread that ties every learner, teacher, and parent to something bigger than a building or a uniform. It is what turns a school into a home.

Our story began humbly in 1997, as Windsor Nursery School, founded with one dream - to uplift the community by giving young children a strong and joyful start in education. From the very first learner who walked through our gates, there was a sense of warmth, resilience, and hope that defined who we were becoming.

As the years unfolded, Windsor Nursery School grew in strength and purpose, nurturing hundreds of bright young minds. In 2024, the school evolved into Little Eaton School - a Cambridge-based primary school built on the same foundation of love, learning, and community spirit that began it all.

With this new chapter came a new identity - THE EATONIANS.

But being an Eatonian is not about wearing a name; it is about living the values that make it meaningful.

  • An Eatonian is curious, always asking questions and daring to discover more.
  • An Eatonian is kind, treating others with respect and empathy.
  • An Eatonian is resilient, facing challenges with courage and optimism.
  • An Eatonian is honest and humble, grounded in faith and guided by integrity.
- And above all, an Eatonian is proud of where they come from - rooted in community, yet ready for the world.

We call ourselves THE HOME OF THE EATONIANS because this is where character takes shape, friendships take root, and dreams take flight. It is where every child learns not just to read and write, but to stand tall, think deeply, and lead with heart.

When our learners leave these gates, they carry the Eatonian spirit with them - into classrooms, communities, and countries far beyond Ruwa. And wherever life takes them, they will always have a place to return to - home.

Because once you have walked these corridors, laughed in these playgrounds, and learned under this roof, you are not just a pupil. You are an EATONIAN - and that lasts a lifetime.

Our Journey & Achievements

For over 28 years, our story has been one of dedication, growth, and community spirit. What began with one learner at Windsor Nursery School has blossomed into Little Eaton School, a modern Cambridge-based primary school shaping the next generation with purpose and pride.

1997 - A Vision Takes Root

Windsor Nursery School was founded out of a heartfelt desire to uplift the Ruwa community through education. With just one learner on its opening day, the school set out to provide a nurturing environment where every child could learn, grow, and dream. From the very beginning, Windsor Nursery School motto was Groomed to Succeed and the school stood for love, care, and quality learning

2005 - Growing Through Challenges

As enrolment grew, so did our ambitions - and our challenges. Through determination, faith, and the support of parents and staff, Windsor weathered every storm. We strengthened our teaching approaches, improved facilities, and earned a trusted reputation as one of Ruwa's leading ECD centres.

2015 - Building a Modern Centre of Learning

By this time, Windsor Nursery School had become a vibrant hub of early learning. Modern classrooms, play spaces, and ICT resources were introduced, laying the foundation for our next big leap. Our commitment to holistic education continued to inspire parents and children alike.

2024 - A New Chapter: Becoming Little Eaton School

In 2024, Windsor Nursery School proudly transitioned into Little Eaton School, expanding its reach to include Grades 1 to 4 under the Cambridge Curriculum. This milestone marked a new era - the birth of a full primary school dedicated to academic excellence, character building, and modern learning. A new school block is now under construction, symbolising our ongoing growth and the bright future ahead.
